Special Visit for our Wellbeing Week Assembly
As part of our Wellbeing Week 2026 celebrations, we were delighted to welcome two former students, Dermot Campbell and Tadhg Donnelly, back to our school to speak at a special assembly.
Dermot, a member of the Louth senior football team, shared his experiences of competing at the highest level of Gaelic football, including winning a Leinster Senior Football Championship title last year and playing in Croke Park. He spoke about the importance of staying active, overcoming challenges, and building resilience. We would like to wish Dermot and the Louth team the very best of luck in their upcoming All-Ireland Quarter-Final.
Tadhg, who was recently selected to represent Ireland as part of the Athletics Ireland National Endurance Group for 2026, spoke about his journey in athletics, the role that sport has played in supporting his wellbeing, and how it has provided him with opportunities to travel and compete all over the world. Tadhg also recently launched his coaching programme, Run With Tadhg, which can be followed on Instagram.
Both Dermot and Tadhg reflected on their time as students in our school and encouraged our pupils to believe in themselves, work hard, and chase their dreams. Their inspiring stories and valuable advice left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
We are extremely grateful to Dermot and Tadhg for giving so generously of their time and for sharing their experiences with our school community.
Thank you, Dermot and Tadhg, and we wish you both every success in the future.
